Our Club are hosting the Roscommon Juvenile Blitz tomorrow Sat 7th of December.  The format will be Singles only.
Times are as follows:

U9  & U11       12pm
U13 & U15       2pm
U17                   4pm

Leinster Masters Open 2013

Well done to John who competed in this competition at the weekend and came home with a medal from each event. John came 2nd in the MS 45. He partnered Sean from Ballina to win the MD 45 and in the XD 40 he partnered Ruth from our own club and came In 2nd place also. Well done John & Ruth!

Affiliation Fees

Club Affiliation Fees are NOW due, all members must pay these fees ASAP to play in the various leagues, and for insurance purposes in the Complex.

Connacht Closed B Competition

The Connacht Intermediate Closed  (B Closed) Badminton Competition will be held in Sligo Tennis Club on Saturday November 30th. Further details on Club Notice Board.

AGM Cancelled

The AGM will not take place tomorrow night as Ballygar are coming down to play our G team. Good luck to all!

Roscommon League

Boyle commence their league campaign tonight with their G Team taking on Four Roads, in Four Roads club at 8p.m.  Best of  luck to Nicola, Liz, Deirdre, Tom, Seamy, Brian & Eugene.

Connacht Open Masters Championships

Best of luck to all our members taking part in the Connacht Open Masters Championships taking place in Galway Lawn Tennis Club on sat Nov 9th.

AGM

Our AGM will be held on Mon night Nov 18th at 9 30pm sharp.  All members are invited to attend.  Anybody who wishes to join our badminton club are welcome also.

Connacht Open Masters Championships

The Connacht Open Masters Championships are being held in Galway Lawn Tennis Club on sat Nov 9th. There will be WS, MS, WD, MD & XD in each age category 40-45, 45-50, 50-55, 55-60, 60-65 etc!

Juvenile Squads

Juvenile groups are being set up in U9, U11, U13, U15 & U17 in Roscommon.  Juveniles who wish to receive regular training sessions with County Coaches to progress their development as a player should give their name in the club and these will be forwarded to Paul & Sean. For further information contact a member of the committee.

Competition Time!

Its great to see our regular members back and to see that  a few new faces have joined us also, Theres room for more!
For those interested in some competition,  leagues are being set up at the moment. Sean is looking for names for Roscommon G, H & Novice leagues, give your name in the club tonight or monday night if you are interested.
Also, John from Sligo has organised a Badminton Cup League for tue Oct 8th in Grades E,F,G & H. Teams of 4 required consisting of 2 men and 2 ladies.  See further details on the notice board in the Club.    

Welcome Back!

Badminton resumes in Boyle Sports Complex on Thursday Sept 19th at 9pm.  Looking forward to seeing all members back and New members are very welcome.  Just come along on the night. Adult single membership is €50 and family of 2 or more costs €75.  Nightly fee is €5. See you there!

Badminton Exhibition

There will be a Badminton Exhibition featuring Irish Olympian Chloe Magee, Sam, Danny & Joshua Magee, Prakash Nath, Jonathan Dolan and David Walsh, in Ballina Sports Centre, on Sunday June 30th at 3.00pm.  Admission Free and Everybody is welcome!

Juvenile Badminton

There will be no badminton coaching for juvenile on Sunday 24th march.

Badminton Cancelled

There will be no Badminton tonight, Monday 18th March. It will resume again on Thursday night at 9pm. We are hosting the semi-finals on that night. Any help with teas, sandwiches and serving in the shop would be much appreciated!

League Information

All our matches have been played in the Novice, G and H Leagues.  Well done to all the teams for getting all games played on time.  The G Final is between Ballygar and Ballinaheglish and is being played in Four Roads on Tuesday March 12th.  The H Final is also between Ballygar and Ballinaheglish and is being played in Four Roads on Tuesday March 19th.  Due to the large number of teams in the Novice League, there will be 2 semi-finals which will take place in Boyle Sports Complex on Thursday March 21st.  The F Final will be Boyle V Ballinaheglish, the date and venue have yet to be confirmed.
There are 2 Special leagues being played at the moment, G Ladies and H Men.  Our H Men are due to play Kilteevan in Boyle on Thurs March 14th.  Good luck to them and to all the Teams in the upcoming Finals.

Success

Well done to Ruth, John and Padraig who are members of the Sligo team who won the Annual National Intermediate Cup in Galway. Congrats also to Liz ,Bernie ,Paul, Kieran, Ben & Matthew who are members of the Roscommon Team who beat, Clare, Tipperary & Cork  in the Inter-County Qualifiers held in NUIG last Sunday. They meet Waterford in the semi-finals on March 24th.

Emergency First Aid Training

There will be a 1 day course on Emergency First Aid training for our club members on Saturday 23rd February in the meeting room in Boyle Sports Complex. Maximum number of participants is 12. Details of Course as follows:

Assessment:                Competency in practical assessments

Both adult and paediatric patients are covered.

Good luck to our G Team who play Four Roads at home tonight. Our H team and Mixed Novice team have a busy week ahead, H playing at Home on Monday night 18th to Ballygar and Away to Four Roads on Thursday night 21st. Novices are Away to Kilteevan on Tuesday night 19th, and Home to Castlecoote on Thursday night 21st. Good luck to all!

Roscommon Juvenile Doubles Blitz

There will be a Roscommon Juvenile Doubles Blitz on Sunday 3rd of February in Ballygar at 1.30pm.
Doubles Pairings can be 2 x boys, 2 x girls or mixed in U9, U11, U13, Grade D, C & B.
Entry fee is €2 and closing date is 6pm on Fri February 1st.  Contact Bernie or Tom in the club if you wish to enter.

Results

Our Grade G team got off to a bad start by losing out to Ballygar last week. Better luck next time. Our Grade H team finished last night on a score line of 3-4 to Ballinaheglish. Well done to all. Best of luck to our club members who are taking part in the Connacht Closed 'B' Championships which are taking place in Galway Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday 26th February.

Leagues 2013

The leagues are up and running again. Boyle Grade G play Away tonight to Ballygar and Boyle Grade H have a home game on monday night hosting Ballinaheglish.  Good luck to all!

Juvenile Training

Juvenile Training commences tomorrow (Sun) at 4pm.  Hope to see you all back.  We have been asked to consider entering a team from the Boyle area in the U15 Community Games. We have not sufficient numbers from the Boyle parish so if anyone is interested in giving it a go, we could aim for a team for next year.

Connacht Closed "B" Badminton Championships

The Connacht Closed "B" Championships will be held in Galway Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday January 26th. This event is open to all players from Grades E,F,G,H and Novice. You can enter On-line, or by application form, these are available on the notice board in the club. Closing date for entries is January 18th.
